When you have this browser extension installed you will see a button on your toolbar that displays a coloured icon showing you a website’s rating, allowing you to quickly make a decision about the site.
WOT ratings range from very poor to excellent and take in to consideration trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy, and child safety. To see a sites full rating information you can click on the WOT icon.
WOT uses both user ratings and information from trusted sources like phishing and malware blacklists to provide this information.

Update: Here’s another cool feature of the Web of Trust browser extension, the ability to see if shortened links on Facebook and Twitter are safe before you click them. When using the WOT extension you will see a small coloured icon next to these links revealing their rating.
